$20 US Saint Gaudens: America's most beautiful coin designed by Augustas St. Gaudens in 1907 by the direction of Theodore Roosevelt. St. Gaudens died in August of that year, never seeing his design in circulation or the controversy surrounding it. Teddy Roosevelt, being a vary religious man, did not believe that the motto "In God We Trust" should be on our coins from the congressional act of 1865. He felt that the coins with the word "God" on them could be used for criminal activity and therefore would be considered blasphamy. It wasn't until mid year 1908 that our
country motto was added back to the coin as a result of another congressional act, thus giving us the famous 1907 & 1908 No Motto Saints. Here we are offering you exquisit coins in choice PCGS, NGC or IGC MS63 - Never a question as to grade and security!
